How It All Began
Babu Bath was born from one tiny miracle — my son, Pele.
While I was pregnant, his nickname was always “Babu.”
Pele, which means miracle, arrived early at 34 weeks and spent two weeks in the NICU. After spending two months hospitalized trying to keep him safe inside me, bringing him home was both joyful and overwhelming. I came home with a heart monitor, constant anxiety, and the deep fear that every new parent knows all too well.
The Hardest Part
Everything felt harder than expected — breastfeeding, sleep, the constant worry.
But the hardest part for both of us was bath time.
From the moment I undressed him, Pele would scream. Bath time left him shaken long after it was over, and left me with back pain and frustration of my own. I tried everything — sink baths with pillows, all the leading baby tubs, even placing tubs on the counter. Nothing felt safe, supportive, or comfortable for either of us.
The Promise
In one moment of pure exhaustion, I made myself a promise:
I would not have another baby until I created a better way.
That promise became Babu Bath.
Designed With Purpose
What started as something I designed only for my own family quickly became something bigger. When the first prototype arrived, I knew instantly — this wasn’t just for us.
Babu Bath was thoughtfully designed to support babies from their earliest days through toddlerhood, while protecting caregivers from bending, strain, and discomfort. It’s about safety, comfort, and turning bath time into a calm, supported experience for everyone involved.
Why We Do This
Today, seeing Pele walk through our warehouse reminds me why Babu Bath exists.
After welcoming our second son, Mael, the very first Babu Bath prototype finally arrived at our home. Using it with him gave me the confirmation I didn’t even know I was waiting for — this wasn’t just helpful, it was life-changing.
What once felt stressful and overwhelming became calm, supported, and comfortable. That moment made everything clear: this is something every parent deserves from the very first day home.
Babu Bath was created out of love, fear, and determination — and built so families everywhere can experience bath time the way it was always meant to be.
